covid update and information 

I thought it was about time to put it in writing of where we are at.  
Due to the nature of the business and the different arms to it, I have broken it down in to smaller sections.    


With all weddings we take a small deposit which locks in the date and covers a consult and many many emails, in other words it covers an hour or two of my time.  If you choose to change the date of your wedding due to covid restrictions, or if we are in lockdown, we can change your date as many times as needed, to get your big day happening.  This does not include design changes, just date changes.  Please keep in touch with us and also make sure closer to the date that we haven't made any mistakes with the dates etc.  I am only human and there are so many weddings postponed and cancelled.  If you decide to cancel, we do not refund the deposit under ANY circumstances, hence why we keep it so low.  This is stated in our T&C's, and we keep it very low to just cover our time until closer to the actual wedding. I am only 1 person so please be patient if I don't get back to you straight away.  In terms of vaccine policy, we follow the requirements of the venue involved and their regulations. 


Mostly these are paid for on pick up, so please let us know in WRITING, via email only, should you wish to change dates or cancel.  For those that are fully vaccinated, pick up is at our shop, 28 Helwick Street. 


Due to the latest government regulations, as of 3rd December 2021, and myself wishing to keep my business going, we ask that all patrons at the shop are fully vaccinated.  Masks are required by all, no exceptions.  I cant afford to get sick, especially over the busy Christmas period.  If you are joining us for high tea, all guests must be vaccinated, due to the close contact between guests and myself.  It is the responsibility of the person booking to make sure this happens.  


If you are unvaccinated, we respect your choice and are still happy to make your special occasion cake.  Bookings can be made online, pre-paid for via online banking or cash on pick up and we can make a time for pick up from our kitchen premises in Frederick Street, likely late afternoon, this will be by mutual arrangement. There is no eftpos available for this option, as I only have 1 machine.  If your party is at a venue, we are more than happy to arrange delivery free of charge within Wanaka, and a small charge will apply outside the main township.  I hope this is a good compromise for us all, as I hate to exclude people but I also have a business to keep running.  Hopefully changes are made early in the New year.  


For those that are fully vaccinated pick ups will be from our Helwick street shop, for those unvaccinated, pick up is from Frederick Street at a mutually agreeable time.  There is no eftpos available at Frederick street. 

Please be patient as many small businesses are owner operated, and it was always a busy time of year even before covid hit.  Sometimes all they need is a smile and a thank you.

For those that need to know for their own safety, I am fully vaccinated also.
